Mid Year intake

As parents, you know your child best. Our new intake gives families a choice about when it is best for their child to start school.

St Mark’s College offers an additional enrolment intake for Reception students, giving families the flexibility to determine the best time for their child to start school. The ‘Mid-Year Intake’ will allow children turning five between 1 May and 31 October to begin school in third term. These students will complete six terms of Reception. This intake, is in addition to the regular intake at the beginning of the year (where students complete a full year in Reception). Families will be able to decide whether their child is ready to begin mid-year when they turn five, or wait to enrol for the beginning of the following year.

It can be a daunting decision to start your child at school mid-year, that's why we asked Bianca, mother to Liam who started Reception in Term 3 to tell us about his experience in the video below.

Students starting Reception mid-year will have the opportunity to enrol in our 14-week transition-to-school program, Little Lions.

To find out more about enrolling, visit our Enrolment page.

If you are considering a mid-year enrolment for your child, please contact the College with any queries you may have and for an enrolment package. You can also download one below.
